Default A really dumb idea...

...to post the counter to your own build, but it just seemed like such a cool combo that I had to share.

Stop me if you've heard this one before, but in all my time on GW, I've never seen a Mo/N or N/Mo. First the set-up.

I am a N/R, and I love condition combos. I will have a person diseased/crippled/poisoned/weakened and often bleading or on fire as well. The average W/Mo will keep a condition removal skill, but they (typically) remove one at a time, and they have to stop charging me to do it. In the trade-off he usually dies one way or the other.

Now imagine a N/Mo that used Draw Conditions then Plague Sending(!) either on me or my team's monk or... I know I would be in serious trouble.

As good a combo as this is, someone must have used it before, so let me know if you've seen it. Also, I would be very interested in any N/Mo builds anyone wanted to post containing these two skills.

[EDIT]
In my defense, I did a search earlier, but having refined my search as an afterthought, I found this:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...2FMo+condition

As stated in above link, Epidemic would be a great follow up. As not specifically stated, hold down the CTRL key when plague sending, and hope your mesmer will catch on.

I'm still interested in any experience with this combo, or any builds you want to post with this combo.
[/EDIT]

Default Not so dumb, depending on intent

I had a thought after reading this post. Depending on your intent, it could be a good thing to post the counter to your own build.

For one thing, you're not really hurting yourself, unless you're one of the well-known players - and they may (probably?) already have people hunting them with their build's nemesis.

Another thing - if you're going to post your counter-build, doesn't that mean you're going to be putting some thought into it? And you could use that to your advantage. Being aware of the counters and weaknesses of your build is just smart playing; on the other hand, most people don't seem to want to see the weakness in their pet build.

Maybe that's why there are so few GOOD players and so many bad ones...

Yeah, the proper way of going about making a new build, is to think of its counters and how you're gonna avoid those counters. A build might sound great on paper but be easily counterable with no way of stopping it.
As for the conditions, I think any team that is vulnerable to conditions should have one monk with martyr and something to mass remove conditions. I've seem quite a few Mo/N using offering of blood as an energy management skill, in fact I think one of the PVP templates is a Mo/N with OoB.
Oh and epidemic is crap. It's range is pathetic, just a little bigger than "adjacent" effects.

I have a Monk/Necro, I use it as a healer tho. Now that I think about it, why do I have Grenth's Balance on my bar if i never use it heh?

You aren't striving for damage... Grenth's is unreliable at best for you. I suggest getting a monk elite to help you heal, orison and healing touch are enough to heal yourself.
